A rebrand and website redesign to modernize OX’s digital presence. After OX opened a new office in Houston, the redesign boosted brand credibility with Canadian and American audiences.
Phase 1
Rebranding
One Exchange Corp. (OX) is a hybrid brokerage firm specializing in voice and electronic brokering services. To help break into US markets, they needed to upscale from a one-page website to a full experience communicating their expertise in North American energy markets.
While Tiller Digital’s designers explore visual brand evolution (colors, fonts, logos, etc.) I helped OX define brand messaging standards and comms strategy surrounding the new brand and website.
Phase 2
Web Strategy & Planning
I led web strategy and planning for the new website. Energy trading was a foreign language to me, so my process kicked off with interviews and research to learn more about the industry:
3x stakeholder interviews (30 min each)
2x customer interviews (45 min each)
2x competitor scans
Content auditing and mapping
SEO keyword strategy
I channeled this discovery work into a new 18-page sitemap and wireframes for every page.
Phase 3
End-to-end copywriting
The new website tells a more complete story of the value OX provides to energy traders. From markets—crude oil, carbon, NGLs, and financial instruments—to flexible trading options—picking up a phone to call a broker, electronic trading platform, and even an app—it makes it clear why North American energy traders choose OX.
